Vermicomposting is the use of worms to recycle organic waste into usable, natural castings (worm manure) called vermicompost. These castings are added to garden soil or plants in containers to make the soil more nutritious, create a looser soil so roots can grow easier, help neutralize the soil and add more oxygen to the soil and plants’ roots.
