Worm Farming Is Fun

Worm Farming

The worm composting system works in a multi-tiered worm tower, or “worm pagoda,” as Davies calls it. The bottom tray must be filled with red wiggler composting worms, newspaper or cardboard bedding and food scraps. The worms, which eat half their body weight in food each day, devour fruits, vegetables, peels, stems, cores, coffee grounds and tea leaves. When the time is right, system owners add another tray. The worms will eventually move upwards and leave their rich compost behind.

Composting isn’t just garbage, it’s cool
